Although there are only 12 colors, you can mix a lot of hues and you have a lot of possibilities. I was glad there was a swatch card included. The only thing that could have been better would have been to include a bit more sheets of paper, e.g. 20 sheets instead of twelve. Overall, I'm very happy with this set which is great both for beginners and advanced artists who want to draw and paint anywhere.
Not a bad set. The reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5, though is because it was missing the pen that was supposed to come with it (customer service was amazing and I already have a pen on the way to me) and the "Rose" color, in mine is more of a red than a pink. I was really excited for the pink, too so It's a bit of a bummer. I also wish the colors came in the order that the swatch sheet is. I had to rearrange everything (by looking at the listing on the website - you'll see the difference in the pictures) so I can know what color is what; but for some this may not be an issue. The paints are quite nice, though, and seem to lift easily (you can see the lifted areas on my swatch sheet).
I've been following Scott Sava for a bit now. Between watching him and this affordable little set, I'm painting again! I love it. I've already gifted a set as well. I really love the marker in this set, too!
